Outside lives a girl with a smile that will brighten up the room,
yet inside hides a girl with a frown full of despair.

Family Friend Poems Here in this sentence, What does the "that" following the word smile,refer to? to a smile or a girl? I mean what will brighten up the room? Girl with a smile , or only a smile..? Thank you in advance..

Presumably the smile, but grammatically, it could be either...
