Hey guys
Today I was just reviewing present perfect but I got stuck.
I thought present perfect was used to express an action that started in the past and continues in the present.
If this is the case, why do you say "Thanks for the comments YOU'VE MADE".

I think you're getting the present perfect simple confused with the present perfect progressive/continuous, which normally does refer to still ongoing events.
With present perfect simple verb phrases, the action is generally completed, but its effects/influence continue in some way to be of relevance to the present time.
Note, however, that use of the present perfect is considerably more widespread in British than in American English, where simple past tenses are frequently preferred.
