Verb with or without "s"

Post by iayubeat »

Hello All,

Here is my question:

In the sentence: "Experienced industrial designer whose combination of technical and creative skills allow him to think in different ways..."

Does "allow" go with or without "s"?

Thanks for your help,

Strictly speaking, 'allows' (the grammatical subject, 'combination', is singular), but most BrE speakers would probably accept the plural.
