captain

Post by hanuman_2000 »

Hello,

1. He is the captain of our team.

2. He is captain of our team.

Is 'the' optional in (1)?

what is the semantic difference between the two statements?
Could you please elaborate it?

Thanks.

Both are grammatical. There is no real difference.
