Hello,
1.He aimed to win the prize and worked hard.
The above sentence is a compound sentence and I have to change it into a complex and simple sentence.
A.He worked hard so that he might win the prize. (Complex)
B. Having aimed to win the prize, he worked hard. (Simple)
Are both A & B correct?
Could you please help me about the rules in this context?
Thanks.

Re: sentece tranformation
Both are grammatical and have the desired meaning, although in B 'Aiming' would be better than 'Having aimed'.
