two passive voice in one sentence

Which one is correct grammatically?
1. more gas is forced to release
2. more gas is forced to be released
my question in general is that is it ok to follow a passive verb with another passive verb in one sentence?

In principle there is no problem with sequences of passive verb phrases, although stylistically it may at times be inelegant.

Your second sentence is correct here.
