adverb

Post by hanuman_2000 »

Hello,

1. I have seen her recently.

This is the sentence from a grammar book by Quirk.

Here , I think the event is only one, still 'recently' has been used.

Thanks.

Yes, this combination of [present perfect + recently] is perfectly possible even in the case of a single event, although this kind of usage is generally restricted to BrE. AmE speakers would prefer "I saw her recently".
