Can you omit the indefinite article?

Post by davidtrinh »

I am going to make up two similar sentences below.

(1) I want to teach in (a) high school.

(2) I want to teach in (a) college.

Is it grammatically OK to omit the indefinite article from the sentences? Please help me. Thanks a lot.

The second would be strange without the article, although grammatically possible. Better to include the article in both.
