have a good eat

Post by akihabaraboy »

I found the following sentence on the website.

After that, we turned the boat around and went to a pub where we had a good eat and a good drink together and just simply celebrated her life.

Is "have a goog eat" idiomatically used or is it just a joke of saying we had a good meal?

Thank you for considering my question.
