"Been to become". Okay to say I'm a sentence?

Post by SaraNight »

Ever since I was a kid, my dream has been to become a doctor.

This sentence sounds odd, I was wondering if it was grammatically correct. If you guys don't mind, please let me know what the grammar form is also. Thank you so much!

It's quite correct! The subject is 'my dream' and the complement is the infinitive phrase 'to become a doctor'.
