hello ! so i did my grammar test today and i got this question : write a sentence which follows this pattern ( subject+transitive verb+direct object+object comlement)
and here is my sentence:
"i am looking for a way to improve my english "
so my question is :is my sentence correct ?does it follow the pattern above?

Not all grammarians would agree on this. Traditionalists would argue that 'look' is intransitive and you have therefore not followed the specified pattern.
More 'modern' linguists would say that 'look for' counts as a phrasal transitive verb and that your answer is therefore OK.
A 'safer' version (i.e. that would pass muster even for a traditionalist) would be e.g. 'I am seeking a way...'
