(Now) + present perfect

Hello.
In the following sentence: (source: English for starters)
((I’m so angry with my brother. He took my new football to the park yesterday, and now he’s lost it.))
Does it make any sense to use (now) with the present perfect?

Yes, it does. In fact, contrary to what you might expect, 'now' can occur as modifier to a wide range of tense-forms, including even the simple past (in which case it has, of course, a relative meaning).
