about ~ing sentence

She was elected Mayor by popular vote, having won over 85% of the vote.

= She was elected Mayor by popular vote as she had won over 85% of the vote. or
= She was elected Mayor by popular vote, after she won over 85% of the vote.

so i think

She was elected Mayor by popular vote, having won over 85% of the vote.
She was elected Mayor by popular vote, winning over 85% of the vote.

both are same meaning.. am i right???

Yes, in this context either would be acceptable.
