Reading a book I saw that (or this?) sentence:
”If I get out I’m going straight to a bar and drinking cold beer until I pass out.”
I didn't understand why the author wrote ”drinking”. Why did that happen?

Presumably = '...and AM drinking...' (i.e. present progressive for definite plan)
