Is this paragraph correct:



"Laika had no easy life.
She lived adrift on the streets of Moscow, without the protection of a human being to whom all of her kind paid their loyalty and recognized them as their masters"

--> "She lived adrift on the streets of Moscow, without the protection of a human being to whom all of her kind gave their loyalty and whom they recognized as their master."
