How to write it correctly in the past tense that I realized something should be done in the future?

Post by Ayonkhan »

Example:
I realized our society should reduce the emission of carbon.
or
We thought our team should do it.

I realized (in the past) we should do it in the future (in the future).

Are my sentences grammatically correct? Did I maintain the sequence of tenses properly? How to write it correctly?
