Hello Alan,
As far as I know, we use the following:
a) positive sentence + negative tag*;
b) negative sentence + positive tag.
My question: Do the verbs like refuse/reject/deny and the words like few/little make the statement negative and have an impact on tags? Are the sentences that use one of the above-mentioned words considered negative?
*In EFL grammar books positive sentence + negative tag is usually taught, though positive sentence + positive tags are also possible. Many tags-based test-questions are rest upon the positive sentence + negative tag structure in my country. .
Many thanks
positive or negative
