Should it be "represents" instead?

Post by tamguatlay »

The first five hundred years of the Latter Day of the Law represent a time for propagation.

Should it be "represents" instead? If so, why?

Thanks.

Both acceptable, although the singular (conceiving of the 500 years as a single period) would probably be more common.
