Hello everyone,
Although I'm a native speaker and actually a freelance editor, I'm having difficulty resolving a minor apostrophe use issue.
Let's say one has a magazine, the audience for which will collectively call the "readers".
Now let's say those same readers were to write for, and contribute to, a supplement to this magazine.
Perhaps both are correct, but which would be better to describe such an supplement:
Readers' Supplement (with apostrophe)
or
Readers Supplement (without apostrophe)
If anyone answers, please explain why you prefer one over the other and/or why it is more correct.
(An imperfect approximation I can think of is education for drivers, which one can find written as "driver's ed", "drivers' ed" and "drivers ed").
Anyway, thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Best wishes, Joe

Readers' supplement.
