Hello. I am pretty sure this sentences is correct, but I am really struggling to understand the grammar and would greatly appreciate some of your expertise.
"I have a cat come to my window every night", the easier sentence to understand is of course "I have a cat that comes to my window every night".
Can anyone explain the different, particularly in grammar.

Yes, both are grammatical but they do not mean the same.
In
I have a cat come to my window every night.
'have' functions as a causative verb (= I cause a cat to come...).
In
I have a cat that comes to my window every night.
'have' has more or less its usual meaning (although here, clearly, without any implication of ownership).
