In the following sentence, does the clause starting with 'When' act as a relative clause?
When I was three years old, I lived in Japan.
Is it just subordinate? I thought relative clauses related to an established noun, noun phrase, event that had already been established.

Re: Relative Clause 'when'
No, it is an adverbial clause (of time).
