the windoe of the building

Post by azz »

a. They replaced the window of the building that was broken.
b. They replaced the window of the building broken by the burglars.

c. I was talking to the brother of the murder victim who is a physician.

Are the above sentences grammatically correct?

The window was broken, not the building, and the 'brother of the murder victim' is a physician and not the murder victim (the verb is 'is' not 'was' and a dead person cannot be a physician.)

Many thanks.

Yes, but I think you are confusing grammatical correctness with clarity/semantic appropriateness.
