1) I am confused.
2) I have got confused.
3) I got confused.
Is my understanding bellow correct?
In 1 we describe a state, in this case a state of confusion. In 3 use Past Simple to show that at some point in the past someone was confused.
In 2 I am not sure what does "have got" form mean. "Have got" is used to talk about possession or a quality, feature but in my example it sounds like "have got" means "to become" and not "to have". What is the difference between: "I have got confused." and "I have got a confusion"?
Thank you for your help.

Re: Confused #2
#2 would be conversational BrE for 'I have become confused'.
