a. What he calls his "funny stories", about which there is nothing funny, are stories he has heard from others.
b. What he calls his "funny stories", which there is nothing funny about, are stories he has heard from others.


Which of the above sentences is grammatically correct?

"about which there is nothing funny" modifies "his funny stories". He calls them funny, but the speaker believes that there is nothing funny about them.

Yes, both possible, with #1 being the more formal.
