run or go?

Post by azz »

a. The train moves on the surface of the street up to that intersection, and then goes underground and disappears.
b. The train moves on the surface of the street up to that intersection, and then runs underground and disappears.

c, The train goes underground and so if you are on the street you cannot tell where it is, although you can hear it.
d. The train runs underground and so if you are on the street you cannot tell where it is, although you can hear it.

Which of the above sentences are grammatically correct and meaningful?

In the first two sentence, the train changes its level and moves to the surface of street to a level below it.
In the second two, the train is below the surface all the time.

Many thanks
