a home for both of us

Post by azz »

Can one use
a. You are destroying a home for both of us.
instead of
b. You are destroying what is a home for both of us.
?

In other words, in (a), can 'for both of us' be an adjectival phrase modifying 'a home' or can it only be an adverbial phrase modifying 'are destroying'?

Many thanks.
