Reduced relative clauses: Passive structure

Post by Marcin »

Is the following sentence correct?

Her work was published, which was called "The Star".

If it is correct, is it ok to omit: "which was" in the above sentence?

Her work was published, called "The Star".

Thank you!

Yes, it may be omitted, but the natural word order is: Her work, (which was) called "The Star", was published.
