I have made up the sentences below.

(1a) A special postage stamp set will be released in six months. A lot of it was revealed online yesterday.
(1b) A special postage stamp set will be released in six months. It was mostly revealed online yesterday.
(1c) A special set of postage stamps will be released in six months. A lot of them were revealed online yesterday.
(1d) A special set of postage stamps will be released in six months. They were mostly revealed online yesterday.

Suppose that you are holding a painting that is covered with a cloth. Next, you uncover it slowly and keep a small section covered. You want your friends to guess what the painting is.

(2a) Even when a lot of the painting is uncovered, no one can figure out what it is.
(2b) Even when the painting is mostly uncovered, no one can figure out what it is.

Which one is correct? Thank you for your help.
