I can hear none of them!

I heard something painful with herdphones, When turned sound too loud.. What the point if adults cant hear it... I can understand, if it's something painful that only teachers can heard to make they crazy..

I can hear up to 18,000Hz
My brother in-law (12 years old) can hear up to 19,000Hz
My wife can only hear up to 17,000Hz :P

Lennye, if you can't hear the originally posted tone then you probably won't hear any of these... :(

But I could hear all of them, though. What's up with that? All of them have the sound of misquitos flying. A lot of misquitos to make that sound, I assume. Is it right or am I hearing things again? :?
