Wolfgang Priklopil, today 44 years old, has taken the 10 years old girl on the way from school to home on 2. März 1998 in Wien. Then she has been kept by him in a hidden place in his flat. Inclouding some rapes, etc.

She came out, Priklopil made suicide, Natascha got 664.900 Euros.

I wonder why people can do such crimes.

I read an interview to Natascha on the paper today, and it almost made me cry. Poor girl! I don't think I would have survived in such a tiny space, with the anguish of not knowing how your relatives are. She was really worried when she heard that everybody thought she was dead and were looking for her corpse!

She suffered from hunger, was really weak at the moment she escaped and inmediately got a cold because she hadn't been vaccinated in 8 years.

I'm glad the worst is over for Natascha, but of course everything's different now. Her childhood and adolescence have been stolen. Her parents got divorced when she first disappeared. I wonder if she will ever be happy again after all this.

It's not great. Money can't buy all these years back to her.

In a title of this thread we can read than Natasha lived in Germany. In fact there are two different, neighbouring countries - capital of Germany is Berlin, capital of Austria is Vienna. Vienna is famous for Straus family, its music and climate (for example). Berlin is famous for Berlin Wall pulled down in 1989.

hello Dixie:)

Thanks for your priceless help:).
One of my school friends lives in Vienna. She has been married there. I don't know anything more.
Austrian people seem to me very tall (though I am not such a short person at all). But people in Austria are even taller. They are very bad at parties - I mean they shout a lot, cause a lot of noise and are rather dangerous after some drinks. Besides I cannot understand them cause don't speak German.
hahaha:)

Of course we can ask - how such horrible tragedy could happen in such a hmmm... civilised and quiet city like Vienna. But it happened. Personally I think it is because they don't have any Scotland Yard there:(
Ps. I mean Vienna Yard :(
