Discussion question: The report suggests that the whole food system needs to be redesigned. What are some things that everyday people can do to prevent global hunger from becoming a reality?

Hi everybody!
I strongly believe that Global Hunger can be avoided only if all people are involved in solving this passing problem. If we stop being indifferent to those trifles of life and be more responsible for our own actions we can help these poor hungry people to overcome their troubles. It is same on us that we can afford to throw away half an apple only because we don't want to eat it whereases one billion people suffering from hunger.
I have been thinking about this issue for a while and have come to the conclusion. To my mind it is high time we started thinking about recycling. If we spelled out the importance of recycling of our household waste to our relatives and friends it would be the first step towards greener life. These small changes in our lifestyle would make a world of difference. I don't appeal to imposing a strict law according to which everybody would be obliged to sort out their garbage. I am in favor of mild introduction of recycling system where people could act at their discretion ( but on the condition that they are aware of the far- reaching circumstances that their apathy may have).
