I read "Cien años de soledad", from Gabriel García Marquez, it's about the reality of latin america, the life of the poor people and how can change it in minutes,
the fantastic reality is one of the most importants aspects from the author, i hope that some one of you can read it, because it's one of most important literary pieces of the world.

see you, Homer :o

I've just finished reading a book called "Loving Pablo, Hating Escobar" by Virginia Vallejo.
This book is a passionate history of love turned into chronicle of the horror and the shame, describes the evolution of one of the most sinister criminal minds of our time: his aptitude to unfuse terror and to generate corruption, the links between his illicit business and several chiefs, the murders of presidential candidates and the war in which he plunged to his country.

Last one is Bentley Little's "The Revelation", which I polished off in a single day, so my reading skills must be improving. Little is dedicated tot he horror genre, so I will get more books by him once I've read all of Koontz's books. Actually I'm reading Koontz's "Twilight eyes".

I haven't posted here recently, so...

so it is Charles Dickens "The tale of two cities" - can't shape my admiration of the athor into words... I couldn't even imagine I'll love him that much. I haven't expected women in the books to be that malicious, much more than men can be, hatred, love, desires, devotion.

than "the world according to Clarkson" by Jeremy Clarkson. As a fan of Top Gear I never have expected him to be a columnist and a writer - it is hilarious!

And also Woodhouse, several novels and now his short stories with Bertie Wooster and Reginald Jeeves. I learnt a bit about him from the introduction so was prepared for reading. I find it nice and very pleasant, some awkward people in ridiculous misfortunes, dry sense of humour, easy-going, but gripping!

Not it is again Noir by James Ellroy - can't put aside!

it's a shame to admit, but I've not been reading anything other than for my English drama classes lately... which means that the latest book I've recently read is 'Dr Faustus' by Ch. Marlowe. Must say that I enjoyed it thoroughly.

50 crime writers to read before you die

Hello!
Recently I have read a book The Inscrutable Americans by Anurag Mathur
Very funny book, worth reading

The small part from this book:

Beloved younger brother,
greetings to respectful parents. I am hoping all is well with health and wealth. I am fine at my end. Hoping your end is fine too. With God's grace and parent's blessings I am arriving safely in America and finding good apartment near University. Kindly assure mother that I am strictly consuming veg food only in the restaurants though i am not knowing if cooks are brahmins. I am also constantly remember Dr. verma's advice and strictly avoiding american women and other unhealthy habits ... Most surprising thing abt America is it is full of americans.Everywhere americans. americans. big and white, it is lil frightening!
******************************************************
At Customs, brother, I am getting big shock. One fat man is grunting at me and looking cleverly from small eyes. "First visit?" he is asking, "Yes", I am agreeng. "Move on", he is saying making chalk marks in bag. As I am picking up bags he is looking directly at me and saying "Watch your ass". Now brother, this is wonderful. How he is knowing we are purchasing donkey? I think they are knowing everything abt everybody who is coming to America!

..."It is", Randy continued, "a real one-horse town". "I see" said Gopal, interested but confused. "Whose horse is that?"

Yesterday I finished reading a political novel after John le Carre titled "The Constant Gardener", a film released in 2005 is based on the novel also.

Le Carre is a world-famous master of his genre, this is the thrid book after him that I was happy to read. Previously I'd better indulge into true spy stories including soviet times as well, cold war confrontation, but this is a political detective story, no need to say it's fascinating, gripping, scary in some moments and truly making you feel guilty in a way.
The true story of Africa's present is described in it - corrupted goverment, international companies working for the profit and power, a person trying to overcome the system and being swallowed by it.
This is a well-done modern literature.
