Gutenberg's Audio Books

You can check out Gutenberg's audio books since it's free. No need to pay a dime for the files! I sometimes use them during my running instead of music. (what a dork? I know! :P )

I strongly recommend Librivox, I have even volunteered to record some texts.

I followed your advice and want to say thank you. I even have my favourite reader now, surprisingly but it's not you, tron :-D Mainly I download child literature I wasn't able to read previously, serious literature I prefer to read in paper.

It depends what you want to read, you will always find stuff on Amazon and Audible but smaller sites will have a smaller selection.

Well in my opinion the best is still to get a kindle because reading online book limits you to free books, and reading on a screen can be draining.
But sure it is more expensive and there are still many books that are free and great :)

If you like classics or fairy tales you can try this website, it isn't too difficult for the eyes to maintain focus on the screen.
