Hamlet in remixed perspective

Postby novaera » Sat Oct 14, 2006 12:22 pm

I wanted to ask about Nigel Tomm’s book Shakespeare’s Hamlet Remixed. In that paranoiac-strange-and-somehow-magnetic text, the author neglects all the possible English grammar structures. At first sight I didn’t like it, but after some reading I thought maybe it is a next step in the evolution of text/literature/grammar. Maybe you have some thoughts about it?

I don't know very much about Nigel Tomm. I found his book very accidentaly at Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/Shakespeares-Hamlet-Remixed-Nigel-Tomm/dp/1419648926).

You can find more about him and a book at http://www.nigeltomm.com or just type "nigel tomm" in http://www.google.com

It is very good question :) This book is hard, strange but for me it's gorgeous. Why? Because I have never read a book like this before. It's challenging from the first to the last page. One person wrote that "It is impossible to tell what's happening inside this book", and I think it is thrue, but maybe this is a face of Hamlet for our time?
