Do you like to listen to Music from other cultures?

Postby Yesania96 » Sat Oct 25, 2003 9:06 am

I like listening to English, Latin, Arabic, Turkish, Greek and Japanese singers.. I like listening to the music of other foreign cultures.. It's amusing. I don't care if I don't understand the language or how different languages sound. I feel the music.

What do you think? I can recommend you some links to download good mp3s of you want to..

Yes I like listen to music from other countries. Different countries have their own style of music, even on pop songs.
I usually listen to Japanese music, especially Japanese Rock bands. They play different types of rock music, and sometimes even heavy metal or some industrial metal. They won't only focus on a single type of music, it is really interesting.

Could you give me names of those Japanese rock bands? One more - do you understand what do they sing about?

Yes, I like +D'espairsRay+ the most, and also Dir en grey, Kagrra, Kagerou, L'Arc~en~Ciel...etc. Actually I don't understand the lyrics, but I could found the translations from the internet. Some of them are really meaningful.

I like English songs but it seems the current songs are released just to satisfy listenners' taste. It talks nothing about culture. If yes, it is just so common things. I mean it is common to sing some words such as kiss, make love ...in English songs that are banned in some countries. The folk songs talk the most about specific cultures. I like Russia, Turkey... folk songs. But just few people like it nowadays.
