Hi younger and older English learners again,

here are my ideas for today - 4 times THE SEA cause to me water protection seems to be the most important issue as deals nature protection. Healthy water means healthy lifestyle.
At least to me.
These days I have only few new interesting musical ideas to put them here.
Thus maybe time for some musical revision again - why not?
So lets start with water (and not only) :
1.
James Blunt carry you home
2.
Natalie Imbruglia Wrong Impression
3.
James Blunt Stay the night
4.
Colbie Cailcat bubble

Soon next songs from me here... in the meantime I am waiting for your ideas.

Hi Nacy, How are you? :-) Nice choice.

Here are some corrections to help you out -

I love listening to music. I like to listen it all the time. I recently taught an English class based on an English song. I don't know if you have listened that. It is James Blunt's 'You're Beautiful'. If you haven't listened it, you can listen it or watch it. It's really good.

Hello today on 25th December 2011,

all the best because of Christmas that is going away this moment... fortunatelly or unfortunatelly.
I REALLY don't know. Maybe some your opinions?
Anyway next Christmas in one year and in the meantime an old but good Christmas hit to sing it together. Why not?
First its original version and then karaoke version - a little bit more difficult to sing it but life is to learn every day - English language - why not? Singing in English? Why not? My opinion.
Specially Christmas song.
So two versions of Christmas song mentioned above for shy/less talented people -with -and for brave/more talented people without Mariah - it is up to you to decide.
Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You with Mariah

Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You without Mariah

Ok. How are you feeling after that Christmas singing?
When you feel a little bit excited or what try to move a little bit - why not again? After this all Christmas eating it is good to think about some mountain climbing or pushing something up a hill - even a senseless stone to lose some kilogrames or in case when your physical appearance still has no bad points just to help your muscles be a little bit stronger to make them working for your body more efficiently. Why not?
So here we go with a song thinking about tomorrow and about some active rest in future.
I mean - mountains? why not?

Avicii - Levels

Ok. What more I want to write is that in the video above we can also see some mental hospital story. What for -can you ask- I am mentioning it.
Some thinking about psychiatrist after Christmas meeting with your family should be also taken into account -why not? My opinion. Maybe you haven't seen your boyfriend or cousins for a longer time and during THIS CHRISTMAS you have just come to conclusion that without mental hospital in the meantime next Christmas together is out of order - really. Who should go to the psychiatrist - I don't know - still some time to decide, isn't it?

To be continued soon...

Hello again on 1st January 2012,

I am back as I wrote... yesterday to wish everyone who reads Englishclub.com site and everyone who reads this thread A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!

A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012 from Sydney!

And here we go with some music and not only - first Gabrielle once again in some more... optimistic and hopeful New Year version :)

It's out of reach (Bridget & Mark)

Now time for some New Years resolutions - I decided to put here some Bridget Jones New Years resolutions - why not to start with her ideas? By the way - how do you like these New Years resolutions?
I WILL NOT

Drink more than fourteen alcohol units a week.

Smoke.

Waste money on: pasta-makers, ice-cream machines or other culinary devices which will never
use; books by unreadable literary authors to put impressively on shelves; exotic underwear, since
pointless as have no boyfriend.

Behave sluttishly around the house, but instead imagine others are watching.

Spend more than earn.

Allow in-tray to rage out of control.

Fall for any of following: alcoholics, workaholics, commitment phobics, people with girlfriends or
wives, misogynists, megalomaniacs, chauvinists, emotional ~ or freeloaders, perverts.

Get annoyed with Mum, Una Alconbury or Perpetua.

Get upset over men, but instead be poised and cool ice-queen.

Have crushes on men, but instead form relationships based on mature assessment of character.

Bitch about anyone behind their backs, but be positive about everyone.

Obsess about Daniel Cleaver as pathetic to have a crush on boss in manner of Miss Moneypenny
or similar.

Sulk about having no boyfriend, but develop inner poise and authority and sense of self as woman
of substance, complete without boyfriend, as best way to obtain boyfriend.

I WILL

Stop smoking.

Drink no more than fourteen alcohol units a week.

Reduce circumference of thighs by 3 inches (i.e. 1½ inches each), using anti-cellulite diet.

Purge flat of all extraneous matter

Give all clothes which have not worn for two years or more to homeless.

Improve career and find new job with potential.

Save up money in form of savings. Poss start pension-also.

Be more confident.

Be more assertive.

Make better use of time.

Not go out every night but stay in and read books and listen to classical music.

Give proportion of earnings to charity.

Be kinder and help others more.

Eat more pulses.

Get up straight away when wake up m mornings.

Go to gym three times a week not merely to buy sandwich. Put photographs in photograph
albums.

Make up compilation 'mood' tapes so can have tapes ready with all favourite
romantic/dancing/rousing/feminist etc, tracks assembled instead of turning into drink-sodden DJstyle person with tapes scattered all over floor.

Form functional relationship with responsible adult.

Learn to programme video.
Ok. Now Gabrielle again in some more hopeful song with lyrics on the screan - DREAMS CAN COME TRUE - my song to start New Year 2012

I hope you like it! {-:

Dreams can come true - Gabrielle

Soon more from me again,
LM

ps1. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012 once again!!!
ps2 Do you believe that dreams can come true? Sometimes?

Hello on 2nd January 2012,

Here I am again to send you a new song. However first I want to ask you about Gabrielle - how do you like her songs? Beneath something more about her.
Louisa Gabrielle Bobb (born 16 April 1970; Hackney, London) is a multi-platinum selling, BRIT Award winning English singer, who records under the name Gabrielle. Gabrielle began her career temping during the day and singing for free in London clubs at night. A demo she had recorded around Tracy Chapman's Fast Car found its way into the hands of an A&R man at Go!Beat records and that sample subsequently became Dreams, minus the Chapman sample. Her unconventional image including short tight curls and an eye patch soon became iconic and she is best known for her singles "Dreams", "Rise" and "Out of Reach".
Next I want to ask you about your New Year resolutions. Have you made any? I am very interested.
Write about it please. By the way I want to encourage you to read Bridget Jones diary - to improve your English and not only - it is a book for a year. How many books are you able to read during 1 year? Maybe you should start with Bridget Jones diary?

Look below what is the book about:
Contents
New Year's Resolutions
JANUARY An Exceptionally Bad Start
FEBRUARY Valentine's Day Massacre
MARCH Severe Birthday-Related Thirties Panic
APRIL Inner Poise
MAY Mother-To-Be
JUNE Hah! Boyfriend
JULY Huh
AUGUST Disintegration
SEPTEMBER Up The Fireman's Pole
OCTOBER Date With Darcy
NOVEMBER A Criminal in the Family
DECEMBER Oh, Christ
Ok. As you can see some religious ideas also occur in this book.
What do you think about the idea - 1 chapter per 1 month. And in the meantime to practise English something like that on your own. I mean my own English language DIARY - starting with January.
It a great time to start such a thing and an interesting idea I think. I don't want to say you have to LIKE or LOVE this book but you have to admit that its composition is very good/interesting/makes sense and it is good to read a little of this book from time to time and write something similar from your own life just to practise English - I mean to start your own diary.
I also want to say I am not trying to force anyone to go and buy this book in a bookshop - it is possible to download it for free as pdf. file. Is it correct? Moral? Right? I am not sure - but it is a fact and you can read it online for free or even print this book too to have its your personal version. Putting things different way - why not to use this book as a encouragment to write your own diary much more interesting and beat Bridget's diary? For example one can open this book several times per month to read it and write what interesting happened in his/her life in the same time - just to compare.

Last but not least - song for today "VIDEO GAMES"
What do you think about this song?
What do we know about its singer?

Beneath some short info about her - just to read and know:
Elizabeth Grant (born June 21, 1986) better known by her stage name Lana Del Rey is an American singer-songwriter. She has described herself as a "gangsta Nancy Sinatra", and cites Britney Spears, Thomas Newman and Bruce Springsteen as her musical influences.
Anyway, here we go -
LANA DEL REY-VIDEO GAMES

Read me soon again,

Hello,
after some longer break I am going to put here some music again. Cause in my country we have Easter time I am going to put here some music to match the time.
It will be Mexicana version of Johan Strauss Orchestra that is - I think - started and conducted by a Dutchman - Andre Rieu - beneath you can read what I have found both about Andre Rieu and about his life, orchestra on wikipedia portal and soon some more music from me to everyone all over the world. This music I have found is not only for Easter time I think. It is a music proper to other parts of the year too. I chose 2 performances - first performance "La Paloma" is the shorter one and another "Fiesta mexicana" is longer one.

1. La Paloma

2. Fiesta Mexicana

And here some infor from wikipedia about Andre Rieu:

André Léon Marie Nicolas Rieu (born 1 October 1949) is a Dutch violinist, conductor, and composer best known for creating the waltz-playing Johann Strauss Orchestra.

The name Rieu is of French Huguenot origin. He began studying violin at the age of five. His father, of the same name, was conductor of the Maastricht Symphony Orchestra. From a very young age he developed a fascination with orchestra. He studied violin at the Conservatoire Royal in Liège and at the Conservatorium Maastricht, (1968–1973). His teachers included Jo Juda and Herman Krebbers. From 1974 to 1977, he attended the Music Academy in Brussels, studying with André Gertler, getting his degree "Premier Prix" from the Brussels Royal Conservatory.

At University he performed the Gold And Silver Waltz by Franz Lehár. Encouraged by the audience reaction he decided to pursue the waltz form. Rieu formed the Maastricht Salon Orchestra and performed as a violinist with the Limburg Symphony Orchestra. In 1987, he created the Johann Strauss Orchestra and his own production company. Since then, his melodramatic stage performances and rock-star demeanor have for some been associated with a revival of the waltz music category. André Rieu plays a 1667 Stradivarius violin.

The Orchestra began in 1998 with 21 members but now performs with between 80 and 150 musicians. At the time the Orchestra first toured Europe, there emerged a renewed interest in waltz music. The revival began in the Netherlands and was ignited by their recording of the Second Waltz from Shostakovich's Jazz Suites. As a result, Rieu became known as the waltz King.

Rieu and his orchestra have performed throughout Europe, in North America, and Japan. Winning a number of awards including two World Music Awards, their recordings have gone gold and platinum in many countries, including 8-times Platinum in the Netherlands.

In September 2007 Rieu performed in Australia for the first time solo.

He is married to Marjorie, who works with him full-time as production manager, and has two sons, Marc and Pierre. He speaks (in order of fluency) Dutch, English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.

That's all for today.
I hope you have had nice Easter time if you celebrate it.
Soon more music from me,
LM

Hello today...
this time I decided to put here something black and white - that's just life though sometimes some colours happen too (or lack of any colours at all). Ok. So today 2 songs from latest Maria Mena album titled VICTORIA. I hope you will like the songs beneath. :-)

1. Maria Mena Victoria
2. Maria Mena homeless

Ok. Now something more about Maria Mena (also from wikipedia):

Maria Mena was born into an artistic family, her mother, a playwright and her father, a drummer. Both Maria and her brother, Tony, are named after characters from Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story. Her mother is Norwegian and her father is Nicaraguan.

Her father played in several bands in Oslo, which influenced Mena to write and record her own music. When Mena was nine years old, her parents divorced. She suffered from depression and developed an eating disorder.

When Mena was 13 years old, she moved to live with her father. She sang and wrote lyrics as a form of self-soothing. "My Lullaby", a song from Mena's diary, expresses her pain from her parents' divorce. After pleading with her father to make a demo, he contacted some acquaintances in the music industry to record the demo. Presenting his daughter's demo to several record companies, Sony Music signed Mena to their label.

Hello,
That's me again. I have just had a look into this site and what can I see?
Do you like TIROL music? I think it is terribly boring. I am not able at the moment to scan for so many pages in this plot but I think TIROL music has appeared earlier here. Only I don't know where and when. So when I have so few time I want to put POLISH MOUNTAINEUS FOLKLORE - to me more interesting than slow German songs. And well... apart from being tuneful not interesting at all. Just like all other German songs only lyrics about Tirol when Polish mountaineous folklore is much more interesting from artistic point of view. If more sensful/less sensful I don't know. As deals lyrics - noone speaks language of poeple of mountains - so who cares? That's all. So when once again TIROL - Polish mouintaineous folklore also once again. Up to you what is really better and about what REAL problems the artists sing.

Silesia band Polish mountain music

to be continued soon...

Amazing! Beethoven is one of my favorite Classical composers. However, the Violin solo concert he composed is a very difficult one but rich in Technic to practice and make you a better violinist ( Yes, I love it).
Well, to continue the thread, I've been listening to these songs lately:

"At Last" by Etta James.
"Romeo" by Basement Jaxx.
"Beautiful liar" by Beyoncè.

Madonna is the best-selling female rock artist. She is a good business-woman She is an artist.

I don’t really like her music but I admire her ability to change her image and her music without selling her soul.
If you look into her eyes you can always see the same person. A person who like herself and other people.

Hi Elisa and everyone who cares,
well you wrote it very well...but best selling person is too little to me. Madonna is a VERY COMPLICATED PERSON. She had some background and a very clear focus in her life to MAKE CAREER. Did she succeed? What I mean in this point is we really are UNABLE to say ANYTHING about Madonna from her so called stage-life cause she was/is still???? so determined person as deals her career. And I personally think only reading her biography can help you to understand a lot of things (if it is able to help you at all).So many biographies, different biographies and only then you are able to understand ANYTHING from Madonna's career at all.Such a determined person with very obvious focus TO MAKE A CAREER in US, international, world-wide career... strange but true I think. I am not her biographer so that is all I can write.
Today next 4 hits of Madonna:
1. Madonna Nothing really matters

2. Madonna Hung up

3.Madonna American life

4. Madonna don't tell me

To be continued soon,
LM.

Hi people,
this is me again. I have decided to put here more Madonna cause I don't have other ideas whom - what to give here in these days. Think what you want but in my opinion noone really made bigger? better? career than Madonna. Maybe I have been thinking too much about Madonna lately but who knows what does it mean to think too much about this or that person (I mean I 've been thinking too much about Madonna's career - how to repeat it in this or that branch - something like that). That's all. I wanted to put here 8 more pieces from Madonna but I have noticed one can put here only 4 songs in one entry. So 4 songs now, soon 4 last songs from Madonna and other singers will appear here - my next ideas here I mean.
Soon more again.
In the meantime:
1.Madonna deeper and deeper

2.Madonna Beautiful stranger

3.Madonna Ray of light

4.Madonna sorry

All the best for all Madonna fans and not only...
