I guess starting from now the swedish people will cook Trinidad and Tobago soccer players! Actually i'm happy for that people and still wonder how a country that has 1 million and 100 thousend population choses 11 awesome representatives while 146 million russia stays at home! Congratulations to Trinidad and Tobago! I awe you guys! :!: :!: :!:

Trying to stick to the point - i've never eaten any swedish cuisine :(

hi Tora:)

sometimes I wonder why Muppet Show creators chose Swedish chef and not French chef or any other chef (because French would cook Kermit as his first dish?)Who know?:)
but somewhere I read he was chosen because of his strange English rather than because any other reason what is the stranger to me but Muppet Show is full of word -puns and some sketches with Swedish chef also contain word-puns.
Only recently I caught what is the sketch "Making chocolate moose" about. So it is also a game of words between moose and noose (from nose) - thus he brings a reindeer in and covers his nose with chocolate.
Haaaaahaaaaahaaaaaa:)

ps1. did you get this sketch at once?
ps2. I think so called "Swedish table" is rather popular here and there. Specially at the parties. You have all food put around on table. The food is cold and such meal is called "Swedish table". At least in Poland it is called like this:)
ps3. don't worry about your soccer team. better sit at home then go and make worldwide laugh of yourself.
:)

Here is what I found on Wikipedia about Swedish table (Smorgasboard). So you eat cold or hot dishes while standing up around. Mostly at official parties.
