Rice vs Bread

I am japanese.
My country's mainfood is rice.
I love rice too.
But there are people that like bread too in japan.
Which do you like rice or bread?
And, please tell me good point about rice and bread.
By the way, my thinking about rice's good point is
"Rice is more hearty than bread." :P

i say both... you can mix different kinds of food into each of them. Like rice! I'm chinese and we can add: shrimp(seafood etc), chicken, green veggies, and a whole bunch of other things too. Same with bread, except that it doesn't have enough room for you to put so much into it..(like to make a sandwich..you cant just put a chicken drumstick into it! lol) Its good to eat both but it just depends if you are that kind of bready person...or ricey person

In place,where I live,rice is very important...but you can't eat something for a long time,because it is boring and everything so we can sometimes eat bread...

there is always remain competition between the people in selecting the one of both things in our country too

but I like to have both specially in the lunch I like to eat bread and in the dinner always rice

at the month of RAMZAN I rather prefer to eat bread because it's take long time to be digested
