I like wildlife animal. Where are I can see the wildlife animal in USA?

I have been to America just once and I don't think I really like it. Guns are allowed in the US so it always makes me worried. Las Vegas which is known as 'The City Never Sleeps' is interesting but it is also dangerous for a girl to go outside alone. I also went to New York but it was a rainy day. The Fifth Avenue is very busy but it is not my style. I love Washington most which is not as busy as New York but make me feel comfortable.
