Postby sooptimistic » Wed Aug 04, 2010 1:45 pm

Hello members of the forum {-:
I've heard a word in an American serie but I didn't know how it is spelled or what does it mean :-(
I think it's pronounced "carefue" it's about teens going at night or something like that...
The actor talks about his teenager daughter who passed the "carefue"
Please help me :-)

You probably heard: curfew

A curfew is a regulation imposed by a government or an army that tells people to stay at home, usually at night. In very strict circumstances, anybody going outside on the street during a curfew may be shot dead by the army, for example.

Thank you so much. I think it's the word.
Well may be because the serie is comedy type, the father of the teenager girl has used this "army" word :D to frighten his daughter
Thanks a lot :)
