It is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. I disagree with the statement. In my opinion children should grow up and develop in a big city, which offers abundant opportunity for children.
The children are exposed to different cultures and people when they live in the big cities. The children are able to learn from different cultures and apply that knowledge in their daily life. For example, if a child lives in the New York City, he/she is able to mingle with people from different parts of the world and learns their cultures and way of lives. He/she would experience different kinds of food and listen various languages.
The children who live in the big city are able to exercise tolerance and respect for each other; on the other hand, the children who grow up in the countryside are facing difficulty to maintain open-mindedness and lenience to the other people. This is because they are not exposed to different skin colors and languages in their life time.
The big cities offer global prospective to the children. The children who live in the big cities can develop their thinking power globally. The children mix with the different backgrounds and culture groups where they can learn and share their thought locally and internationally.
Although the countryside offers quiet and healthy lifestyle, growing up in the city is the best thing for a child, where he/she is able to expose different cultures, learn how to respect each other, and develop thinking power globally.
