To Drive or not to Drive!!!!!!!!

Post by Miss. Ladybird »

Last week, I was waiting for the bus after work and suddenly a friend told me that it had already left. I was shocked because I wasn't late. Well ….. I called my brother and father so one of them can come and take me.

This situation "RIMINEDED" me about an important thing that I haven't used – actually come close to -since I was 17.
Cars……….I am a "COWARD" when it comes to driving. :(
My father tried to teach me how to drive before but it didn't work with me.

It's strange that I am a very bold person and I am too afraid to drive a car.
Any advice?! I really need it.
 :( :?

Many people are afraid of driving.

Did you have, however, any bad experiences concerning cars?

Have you ever tried driving a car? If not, I highly encourage you to try! I'm sure you'll like it ;)

Yes, I had a car accident once. I am still afraid of cars since that time. my family must drive at the speed of 45 or they know that I will feel uncomfortable. :?
I remember that I cried once. :(

I also lost one of my relatives in a car accident.

Driving is very practical : you can drive where and when you want. [Like mobile : you can phone where and when you want. but is it a good thing ?]

Driving is not especially complicated (I have got my driving licence two weeks ago :P ). There are just some people, like me  , who need more time to learn driving.

Just, don't drive too much, don't waste. The cars are one great cause to the pollution and to accidents (if you drive too fast). Be conscious about the nature.

If you want not to miss the bus or the train, go 5 minutes before the bus comes.

Miss. Ladybird, now I understand why you dread driving. It's completely understandable. But you should try to drive a car. Just try.

I do this all the time. And I was waiting for it 10 min. before the regular time.

Maybe it was my "WAKE UP CALL" to learn driving

Yes, it was your "wake up call".

Is the bus missing its plan ?

Drive ! non-stop farther, non-stop higher !

I think you should always encourage yourself to drive.
Try it and you'll get used of it
This makes independent in driving ,simply you don't depend on the bus, your father or brother's car.( ofcourse you should buy a car)

Come on don't be pessimist and learn more in driving.
Let's all of us congrate you on that specially when buying a new car,you are going to feel happy.

I remember I was afraid of driving,too.
I made a lot of mistakes, not very important ones, but they made me feel uncofortable.
The thing that helped me was that in the bottom of my mind,I liked very much to drive a car and I wanted to drive it well some day.
Then I kept practicing and practicing...
It took me a long time, but it happened and then I forgot that I was afraid to drive.
At the beginning, when I went in some place, I was thinking and worring about the time when I would have to leave and to get into the car.
I'm sure that in one year you'll be an excellent driver. All you have to do is driving, not in crowded places at the beginnnig.
If you have someone to teach you,it'll be easier.

I am an independent girl. Driving is the only thing I need to be truly independent.
My father bought a car once and still that didn't encourage me. He's still promising me that he will buy me a car as a gift when I learn driving.

My bf has just told me to tell you this: The car is a toy, but you must know how to play with them.

Does he know my father!!!!! :OO: :o:

My father says the same thing to me. He also says "every time you drive remember that one of your feet is in prison and the other one is in grief." Encouraging isn't it.

Well……….. I think he is just kidding with me.

Thank you and your bf for the advice Dixie........... I will keep it in my mind :D . At least it's more encouraging than my father's say
