Big girls don'r cry too:)))
Well I like travelling very much indeed and I hope to visit Ireland these year. I would like to visit Scotland too because I
know this part of Great Britain is really picteresque and beautifull. Would be good to combine both things + come back to London (beautiful city).
All in all I think we can learn our best lessons while travelling and reading +speaking with people who are just different.
Today travelling has become very commercial thing. People travel cause they have money and mostly are unable to see more than their hotels. Probably it's good but as deals me I am this kind of traveller who can suffer from hotel disadvantages
because after comming back home I can sleep and rest as long as I wish while I cannot come back to some places that are only in pictures and in my recollections...
:)))

Italy - why?why?why?why?why?

Post by real_lord »

I like Italy and I have visited Italy about 5 times till now. But I used to have a time in my life I couldn't stand up the mere smell of my favourite pizza. Each time I saw pizza I was going out. Though I love it. Now I am over it but who knows what can happen in future?
The best recollection from Italy I have from staying in Monte Sibilini National Park. Wow! What beautiful landscapes! I have met a good friend of mine there and visiting Italy is always a time of my best suntan hahaha. Now I am quite pale  .
Roma is beautiful too. But of course Roma is zero comparing to mountains.

I have even found a suitable link with Monte Sibilini National Park but there are no pictures with all beauty of the mountains . And I have a T-shirt with a logo of the Park till today. My Italian friend gave it to me as a good-bye gift. At first I thought – what a wonderful table cloth cause the T-shirt was so big. She apologised me not having anything my size but she insisted me to take it as a memo. All in all it was very nice of her. Then she sent me 2 callendars with views on mountains where we used to walk...I recommend Monte Sibilini to everyone. I stayed in Fiastra (little village there ) and I will never forget hospitality of people who lived there.

Hmmm... I don't travel too much. Really. I know people who saw much more than me. But I am not the worst traveller too.
As deals China I have heard a lot of official arrangements required while crossing Chineese border. It's probably discouraging for many people. Though as far as I know if someone is determined he climb even Chineese Great Wall.
And while talking about climbing I would like to tell you that the most beautiful proverb as deals mountains I heard during mountain camp in Slovakia many years ago namely "A dwarf will stay only a dwarf even if he climb Mount Evererest" and second thing I would like to write is about China - namely many years ago you exported T-shirts into my country. Some of them I remember today. They had nice inscriptions like: "I climbed the Great Wall" and the picture of Great Wall above this sentence.
The T-shirt were OK though very long. Hmmm... I thought maybe they were used both as T-shirts and dresses.

Ireland - The Emerald Isle

Post by Shazzam »

I haven't been to Ireland but my parents were both born there and I have relatives there; who send me pictures etc. It is a beautiful place. They don't call it the Emerald Isle for nothing! Everything is so green.

Also over the last ten years or so they have geared themselves for tourism; so it is very user friendly now; with lots of bed and breakfasts, motels etc.

There is alot to be said about the various cultures that live there now. It has become very multi-cultural; whilst still holding onto its wonderful by-gone traditions.

Wish I had the money to go. One day I hope to win lotto and go and visit!

Beer or not beer.

If you are visiting Ireland you need to know the Guiness factory (or only drink it in one pub). Also, i recommend to read James Joyce (Dubliners) and when you will be there, listen some U2 song (80's).

Hi people:)
U2 I know, The Crannberies and Th Corrs too. CDs with fascinating folk music I can buy here and there too, also read about history and look at some pictures (on teh Net for example or buy/borrow an album about Ireland ).
Next year I am going to go to Sweden. I have to visit country of this man:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carolus_Linnaeus
He isn't too handsome probably but I think his merits for botany can never be overestimated;)
All the best for everyone:)
hahaha:)
