3 sets of paper strips.

Zebras have stripes.

A strip is a long, thin piece of something physical: a strip of paper or cloth; a strip of land.

A stripe is a long, thin marking or pattern on the surface of something: there are stars and stripes on the US flag; streets often have white stripes on them where pedestrians can cross.
