where is Vietnam?
I wonder what you say about Vietnam. Have you ever travelled to this country? Is there anything you want to know about it?

OMG I thought you were serious about asking where Vietnam is!!!
Which reminded me of an anecdote that happened last month. My 14-yr-old students had a German exam. There was an activity about verbs where they had to fill in the blanks with the correct verb tense. Well, the only German girl in the class called me to ask me something so I went over to her desk. She showed me a sentence in her exam which went like this: Woher ___________ (kommen) deine Familie? Aus Vietnam. . I wondered what she couldn't understand about that simple sentence, when she asked me: "What's Vietnam?"

I'm an online English tutor on Skype. I have a Vietnamese student who is now based in Australia. He had told me things about Vietnam. The Vietnamese Dong is the lowest currency.

Just to the right of Cambodia on the map of the world. Otherwise put, Vietnam is "the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia". (Wikipedia)

I don't know the value of the Vietnamese currency but doubt it's the "lowest". In any case, lowest and highest are relative (and meaningless). They don't reflect a currency's true value.

Re: where is Vietnam?
Our colllege has close ties with Foreign Trade University (FTU), a college based in Hanoi, capital of Vietnam, so I had the chance to visit the country a while back.
I'd like to share with you some of my own experience. I went there through Youyiguan (Friendship Pass in English) of China that is connected with Vietnam by land. To make a difference, Vietnamese authorities force their people to use local time, so when we crossed the thin line as the boundary of the two countries, the time in Vietnam is one hour behind the time of China, amazing at first sight but ridiculous at second thought.
Since 1979 to 1990, China and Vietnam never stopped their crossfire in real military action on border area, with millions of land mines buried all over the land, so it is very dangerous if you do not follow the bumpy road for the visit even in peace time. Vietnamese and Chinese governments both claim to be socialist countries, but they do not see eye to eye in many many things. Vietnamese custom officials are all corrupt ones, delaying the procedures if not given tips of $2 worth minimum. One official became very excited with his eyes opened wider that I was afraid the balls might drop out when intentionally stopping me for checking my bag and finding there was a lot of US dollar notes which I would use for public expense.
My friend a lady living in the border area who knows the language of Vietnam then helped me by showing the greedy man my invitation letter issued by FTU, then that guy became paled and sweated a lot. Later I was told that FTU is a Harvard like institute in Vietnam, whose students and teachers are all having relations with high-ranking officials. And if this guy was reported to extort money from a connection of FTU, he would be fired or even charged at court without any question, hahaha!
More interesting things will come, if you are interested.

Re: where is Vietnam?
To be honest, Vietnamese people are a little lazy and less smart and skillful than Chinese people. They lead a much leisure life, refuse to work overtime, cut normal shifts at will (for example, they may leave their work undone to have a cup of coffee with a friend), ask for more wage, strike from time to time..., etc, all of which are not to be liked by company management.
You can see that many American companies under the pressure of Donald Trump are expelled to move their plants from China to Vietnam, but later they found that even with the tariff claimed to be added in the trade war between China and the USA, China still remaine the much better places in the world in mass production.
