How can you understand "go on"?

Postby nhatruc » Mon Dec 15, 2008 11:35 pm

Dear all.
I've seen "go on" in the My heart will go on song. But I havn't really be able to understand this go on phrase .

Every night in my dreams
I see you. I feel you.
That is how I know you go on.

Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on.

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
-------------------------------------------------
If someone know, please help me.
I'm expecting for your reply
Your sincerely

In this context go on probably means "continue to exist", "not stop".
