Could you tell me if the following sentences are correct:
Halfway through their car ride back home, he pulled up the car.
Halfway back home, he pulled up the car. (in this example "half way back home" does necessarily imply the means of transport used? I mean, can it be also used in relation to, say, walking or running?)
