A phrase from a film

Post by Irina »

Hello!
I've recently watched a police drama called "Without a Trace" (s.1 e.1). Almost everything was clear except for some phrases  . Of course, I won't ask for the explanation of all of them, but this is the one I'm really interested in.
- Hey, Frankie. How you doing?
- Bum knee, too much alimony. Other than that I'm peachy.
I thought maybe, it's a song or kind of a joke... So, I'd be really really grateful to you if you could help me. :-) Thank you!

Bum knee = chronic pain. Too much alimony = monthy support for ex-wife is a burden.

In other words, everything is great (peachy) except for routine misery...
