Has anyone read Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment? I started it a couple days ago. I'm in chapter V and the truth is I'm not enjoying it a lot, actually. I was wondering if anyone around here has read it and can share their opinions about the book. Should I keep reading? I'm not very impressed... it's a classic so I wouldn't want to give it up yet.
Thanks
Crime and Punishment

Yes, I read that in school times. He is included in the programme of Literature in Russia and Post-Soviet republics. Most probably, translated version isn't so attractive for foreign readers. ..The novel, basically, reveals the social and psychological causes of crime, moral contradictions and consequences.

Oh, this one really does seem interesting. I might read it when I'm done with Crime and Punishment (if I don't end up fed up with Dostoyevsky ). Thanks, Xkalibur.Xkalibur wrote:At those times, yes I did. I also liked his novel "The House of the Dead" which I read 3 y.ago.

Re: Crime and Punishment
I had this book in school programme so I read it. It is not easy to read but I think it is worth to read it till the end if you already started ;) I advise you to read some explanations about the sense of this book after you will finish reading to understand it better.
