Everybody was surprised to hear that ….. to the party.

a) Tohir wouldn’t be coming
b) Tohir wouldn’t come
c) Tohir will not come
d) Tohir doesn’t come

Which version(s) is /are correct?

(a) is the best version (i.e. grammatically appropriate and the most natural in context).
